Kayak Rentals
Whether you're just visiting for a day or live here in Wrangell, kayaking is one of the best ways to explore marine life. Drifting at water level among a school of feeding dolphins, or finding that perfect beach off the beaten path, are a few advantages of paddling. We stock composite Sea Point 5 doubles, Expedition doubles and Cadence singles from Northwest Kayaks. These boats are designed for our waters. With a soft chine and a rudder, they track well and are comfortable for both beginners and more experienced paddlers. Rent them for an afternoon or an extended trip. Create your own kayak adventure! Perhaps a few days along the back side of Wrangell Island or a trip into Dry Pass. By arrangement we can transport you to Earl West Cove. From there you can paddle to Berg Bay and the Anan Bear Observatory. We offer water taxi to remote destinations and USFS rental cabins. Call for more information and reservations. Kayak rental rates are $45 per 24 hour day for singles and $55 for doubles. Contracts four days or longer receive a 20% discount. All rentals include comfortable Lotus life jackets, spray skirts, paddles, sponges, pumps and tow lines. Camping gear and dry bags are also available for rent. Prices do not include 7% sales tax.

Water Taxi and Transport Services:
Our 28 ft jet boat Kraken may be chartered to taxi independent travelers. Costs vary by destination and are based on a rate of $140 per hour with a Alaska Vistas kayak rental and $160 per hour for all other users. Kraken can carry 6 passengers, kayaks and gear.
