At Alaska Vistas, we know how much your vacation means to you, and we go all out to make your Alaska travel dreams come true.
We’ve been guiding in the Wrangell area since 1995. Alaska is our home, and we want to share our enthusiasm for the state with you. Our trips are built around the things we love to do ourselves, and the places we go even on our days off.
We have the experience and the attention to detail, the equipment and the people, to make sure you get the best, safest, most comfortable trip.
The Alaska Vistas staff includes naturalists and marine biologists who have worked all over the state, including in the harsh conditions of the Bering Sea.
From our Wrangell base, we run three jetboats: the Kraken, a 6-passenger boat, the Triton and Tethys, aluminum boats built in Lewiston Idaho by Bentz Boats which can each hold 18 travelers in comfort. Jetboats are much faster than regular boats, and they can operate in much shallower water, allowing us access to places you simply can’t see any other way—and the small group size means you get Alaska up close and personal.
In our office on the Wrangell docks, we sell maps, paddling gear, t-shirts, fleece, and more, all tried and tested in the field by our staff. We also run Java Junkies, Wrangell’s favorite place for a morning latte.
Permitted to operate in the Tongass National forest, with guided trips—from short hikes to 11-day river adventures—and taxi service and advice for do-it-yourself excursions, Alaska Vistas is your outfitter for the best of Southeast Alaska.
